On June 16, 2025, Dr. Muhammad Imran Yousuf, Honorary Consul General of the Philippines in Karachi, brought the celebration of the 127th Philippine Independence to Karachi, marking 76 years of diplomatic ties between Pakistan and the Philippines. The event, held at a top Karachi hotel, featured Ambassador Emmanuel R. Fernandez and his spouse as chief guests, joined by senior provincial ministers, diplomats, Pakistani officials, journalists, and members of the local Filipino community. Speakers highlighted the nations’ parallel journeys to freedom and outlined a bold agenda focused on trade, technology, education, culture, and climate collaboration — a vibrant testament to the enduring friendship between the two countries.
